III - Matriarch of the Coven

The third of my Diablo themed illustrations, Maghda the Witch. The start of the game's 2nd chapter and whole lead up to her boss fight is one of my favourite parts of Diablo 3 so in a way she has a special place in my heart. The design is based heavily on her in-game portrait, while the moth's look comes from Maghda's original concept art. At one point she was also flanked by her cultists but I ended up removing them as the image was becoming too busy.

This was created in a mix of photoshop and illustrator with a few custom brushes supplied by ImagineFX magazine.
