Bloatling

A bizarre gas-filled creature of some piscine ancestry, the bloatling is a common sight in the airspace over the great oceans. The creature uses a combination of its buoyant internal air sacs and pectoral fins for movement, whilst two long tentacle-like appendages assist it in catching wayward birds and other such prey. Following great storms, it is not unusual to see lost schools of bloatlings far inland, having been blown off-course by the powerful winds.

This was just a quick creature concept for my next zbrush sculpt that I decided to clean up. Look for the completed model in the near future...
